When taking a photograph, first and foremost, usually you are not looking for a portrait type of shot.Usually, people always want to capture the scene around them. What you can actually do if that is the case, is sometimes instead of putting the subjects in the center of the photo, put the scene. What I mean by that is basically, if there is a nice landmark, you can definitely make that the center.Your subjects can be off center and this definitely looks perfect.  It is a trick I picked up as a San Diego photographer.

Anticipating moments is basically another trick and best practice to taking great photos. You actually see all the time when people just all of a sudden realized that a moment would be a beautiful shot. But that moment a lot of times, is over before they can normally take a photo.  By being prepared for shots you can take those photos you might miss.  This requires a skill I developed doing San Diego corporate photographer work. The main thing you have to consider doing is being aware and sensitive of your surroundings and what is happening. This will certainly make you get ready.

The final tip is to be aware of the beauty that is around you. If you only notice, a lot of good photographs taken by professionals are scenic basically. They are actually using a location or scene, in other words, just to convey an emotion or story. If you keep an eye out for great locations, then you can do this as well.  This is another thing that has worked well doing event photography San Diego work.
