Why A Marin County Lawyer Changed Her Name
Jenny Craig was a lawyer who lived and worked in Sausalito, the beautiful harborside community just across the Golden Gate Bridge. Living there was a real stretch on her budget, because she was just starting out in the legal game and was the new kid in her firm. She loved it though, and was happy to go without a few things.
However, things changed. After working hard for three years only to see a more well-endowed newcomer beneath her get promoted ahead of her, she got fed up. She knew it wasn't because she wasn't good at her job. She was very good at it. The reason the other girl got promoted was simply because she was sleeping with the boss.
Jenny was faced with a dilemma. She could either just quit and go into private practice or she could sue her sexist pig of a boss.
She decided it was better just to go. Jenny was a very bright girl and she knew what she had to do. First, she went on a diet and started losing weight. With her name, she knew that being overweight made her a target. Her weight loss regime was so successful, even her old boss noticed and asked her if she wanted her old job back. She laughed in his face.
Next, Jenny changed her name. She wanted a name that would draw attention to her for the right reasons, so she changed it to Marin Mirin. With a catchy name like that, she quickly started attracting clients. Many of them were clients who had formerly been with her old employer.
It just got better for Marin. About six months after she hung out her shingle, Suze came to her office. She'd put on some weight. The boss had lost interest in her and hired another hotty he could take advantage of. Marin gave her a job and told her about diets that work.
Marin and Suze became the best of friends and a fantastic legal team. They combined ambition and an unquenchable desire to take their revenge on their former employer to catapult them to success. They even took their old boss's girlfriend away from him. The three of them became known as the 'Charlie's Angels' of Sausalito because they were so hot looking and good at what they did.
Now, the name of the firm is 'Marin and Partners.' They are the largest law firm in Marin, while their old boss is known as an 'ambulance chaser.' They have achieved success and gotten their revenge as well. Life is sweet sometimes!
