Becoming a lawyer in the USA involves maximizing your under graduate GPA and your LSAT score. The LSAT is the official law school admissions test, which is used by a number of Law schools in the United States, and is administered by the Law School Admissions Council.
The first step to becoming a lawyer is to become a graduate of an accredited under graduate institution with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. You will then have to sit the LSAT test to become admitted to a law school. It is important to remember that if you have a criminal record from the past, under many jurisdictions, you may never be given a license to practice law even those this bears no question on your ability to work as a lawyer so it’s important that you discuss these issues with the Law School prior to sitting the test.
