Why do we usually have car problems when it is cold
A lot of things change as seasons also change.Weather is naturally one of them. But did you know the change in weather also affects your car?It would seem that there are more cases of auto problems encountered during winter time. If you are in a really harsh weather condition city it can really hurt if your car breaks down.We would be discussing some reasons as to why cars are affected by the weather.
In my Vista auto repair service the biggest cold weather problem are dead batteries. The reason for this is because when it is cold your battery has more work to do.And because of that it runs a little harder. You use your headlights more because the daylight is shorter. And a heater drains the battery more compared to an air conditioning. So the best thing to do is to make sure your battery is in good condition going into a harsh winter.
During a cold weather frozen fuel lines is another prevalent auto problem. This isn't a big auto problem for my Oceanside auto repair service. But this is really prevalent in cities with very cold weather. What happens is if you let your car run low on fuel condensation forms. And if that condensation freezes it can stop the fuel from flowing. The best way to prevent this from happening is to always fill your gas tank full.
Another big problem is tire pressure. Cold weather will make tires lose pressure. This isn't a good thing because low pressured tires get balder faster. Bald tires won't do well on icy conditions. So this is really a serious problem. So you must make it a point also to always check the pressure of the tires of your car.
So there goes some of the problems encountered by car owners when the weather is cold. You can prevent some of the problems if you can just do those tips. And if the weather is very cold you do not want to encounter those problems.
